Knowing the signs of breast cancer could save your life. When this
disease is discovered early, you have many more treatment options
and a higher chance of recovery or remission.
Most of the breast lumps checked in the US are not cancerous,
however if you find that you have one, you will want to see your
doctor immediately.
The most common signs of breast cancer are:
- A clear or bloody discharge from your nipple
- Retraction or indentation of your nipple
- A change in the size or shape of your breast
- Any flattening or indentation of your skin on your breast
- Redness or ‘pitting’ of your breast, similar to the skin of an orange
There are a number of common conditions that can change the way
your breasts look and feel. Obvious times are during pregnancy or
the menstrual cycle. If you notice a change that concerns you even
during these times, you may come to our offices and we can evaluate
the change.
So please, don’t hesitate to contact us, or your preferred
physician to talk about changes like these.
