State or government insurance is called Medicaid. Medicaid covers abortion in 16 states in the U.S. Health insurance policies cover many women’s health services; however, abortion coverage can vary based on your health plan. If you have health insurance coverage, there is a possibility that it covers the whole or just part of the cost. You can contact the insurance firm directly to find out about your specific coverage.

The financial support programs and your income, may also come into play. If you don’t have health insurance or do not want to use it for personal reasons, the staff at The Orlando Women’s Center can tell you if there are programs in your region that can help pay for part or all of the abortion costs.

Please use the drop-down menu below to determine if our office may accept your plan. If your health plan is not listed in this menu, it means we do not currently participate in that plan. Our list of accepted insurance plans will be expanding and we urge you to check back periodically.
