Abortion Procedure and Family Planning Fees Explanation

The Women’s Centers offices are open for pregnancy testing, and emergency contraception 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; Saturday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The downtown Orlando location is open on Sunday from 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM. Please call and schedule your abortion procedure as those times may vary. You can also schedule for an exclusive VIP appointment and be the only patient in the facility for a nominal fee. You may also ask about our 1 day VIP appointment where you are seen at the same time as other patients are in the office, but you remain isolated from the rest of the patients and your abortion procedure is the first one performed by the physician that day.

Our abortion fees are all inclusive. Several things determine the cost of an abortion: 1) the length of the pregnancy, 2) type of procedure performed and 3) type of anesthesia. Abortions performed in the first trimester (3 to 12 weeks) costs less than those that are more advanced. Our procedure fees range from three-hundred, fifity dollars ($350.00) to seven-thousand five-hundred dollars ($7,500.00) depending on the length of the pregnancy, the type of procedure that must be performed, the medical supplies used and the amount of time required to perform them in the safest possible manner.

Several types of anesthesia are used. Most commonly used at our offices is local anesthesia with regular IV sedation. This procedure costs the same amount as patients who are awake who receive the local sedation only which consists of the cervix being numbed. For an additional fee, patients may elect to have Deep IV sedation, or Technologically Advanced IV sedation where patients are awake, but generally do not remember or feel anything as the procedure is being performed. We also offer General Anesthesia on a few days of the week at some of our facilities.

Our fees include the laboratory tests, sonogram, individual counseling, regular IV Sedation, 2 to 3 week follow-up post-operative visit, a pack of birth control pills and a prescription for a two month supply of birth control pills. There is an additional charge for Deep IV Sedation, and the Rhogam or Microgam (Rh) Injection.

For a minimal fee patients may elect to have a technologically advanced IV sedation that allows patients to recover within 45 minutes to an hour and are able to drive themselves home instead of needing an escort to come with them to the office. The medications are stronger, faster acting IV sedation medications and are used to reduce pain and anxiety. This option is for patients who want to be discrete and private and not have to discuss with anyone about their termination procedure. This advanced IV sedation is usually enough to reduce anxiety, stress, and the discomfort that patients have during the surgical procedure. Over 50% of the patients do not even recall any part of the abortion procedure.
